The distribution of agricultural inputs and livestock in Ban Ngo e Nam Dan is completed
Mar 12 2025In January and February 2025, livestock and agricultural inputs were distributed to the 60 women who participated in the agricultural and zootechnical training of the project "Food Security for Families and Preschools in Ban Ngo and Nam Dan". The project's objective was that of combating malnutrition, promoting nutritional self-sufficiency and reducing poverty in the rural communities of Ban Ngo e Nam Dan, while also empowering infrastructures and improving the production techniques used in agricultural activities.
Between January 20 and 21, more than 2.000 plants - among which plum, pear, jackfruit and mango trees - have been transferred and delivered directly to the recipient women of Nam Dan e Ban Ngo, in Xin Man district. Meanwhile, more than 5.000 kg of fertilizer, along with tools for planting and tree care, were distributed. Moreover, between January 20 and 25, Nam Dan's women received 2 goats each, while in Ban Ngo the distribution completed by the end of February, amounting to a total of 120 goats.
The distribution of agricultural inputs and livestock represents a crucial milestone for the project, as it enables the concrete implementation of the knowledge and competences acquired. The recipient women have enthusiastically welcomed the resources obtained, ready to use them in order to enhance food security for their families and communities. Furthermore, the recipient women, along with teachers, cooks and parents from the targeted schools, are attending training sessions on healthy diets, which will continue until March. Thanks to this integrated approach, the project not only provides concrete tools for agriculture and livestock farming, but also offers comprehensive training that spans from zoo-technique to nutrition, ensuring sustainable solutions in the long-term fight against malnutrition.
