Full meals every day;
periodic medical check-up and extraordinary medical care if needed;
payment of school fees and the supply of necessary materials for the school (pens, notebooks and books);
personal hygiene accessories;
support to the attended schools, to improve their buildings and the educational offer.

Supporters are required to make an annual financial commitment of 300.00 euros, to be paid on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis. This fee is guaranteed until the child completes his or her school career.

Supporters are also invited to establish a mail relationship with the adopted children.

How do you activate a Child Sponsorship?

To activate a Child Sponsorship, you just need to send the filled and signed activity form to our office by e-mail: info@gtvonline.org. Later, the adherent will receive the countersigned commitment form from our President, a confirmation letter re-indicating the contents of the Child Sponsorship Programme and the child's card matched to him. The first payment has to be made not later than a month after receiving the documentation. The Child Sponsorship will officially begin after the first payment, which can be made through a deposit to our bank account. The IBAN is: IT71C0830434290000040307219.

What do the donors receive?

Donors will receive detailed information about the programme, a dossier with the child's information and a photo at the beginning of the Child Sponsorship Programme. Once or twice a year, donors receive a letter and, if possible, a photo of the child.

Who takes care of the children?

The families, the parents or, in their absence, other relatives or guardians take care of distance-adopted children.
Relationships with families and children are assiduously maintained on site by the Women's Union. GTV keeps in contact with the Women's Union. GTV’s staff meets children and families during their visits to the District.
Through the bond between children's families and schools, GTV wants to focus on the specific needs of each, aiming at effective and timely interventions in case of need. and contribute to the support of the whole community.

How is my contribution used?

80% of the contribution goes directly to children's families and it is used to buy what is stated and specified by the programme (see what is guaranteed to the child).
20% of the contribution is used by GTV for expenses' management.

Is it possible to activate a Group Sponsorship Programme?

Yes, you can activate a Group Sponsorship Programme, and some of our supporters have already made it.

Is it possible to choose the children to sponsor?

No, it is not possible to choose a child. We try to give the opportunity to express a preference, related to the gender (male or female), but we cannot allow families to choose from multiple children. It is the Women's Union that selects families on the basis of needs, and generally identifies the child to be supported when a supporter is already available, so as not to generate expectation in children and their families and to ensure, once they are involved, a rapid activation of the Child Sponsorship Programme..

Is it possible to get in touch with the sponsored children?

Yes, it is possible. One of the aspects that GTV cares most about, in addition to economic support, is the creation of a bond between two geographical regions which are very far apart. All those who support a child are always invited to write, send photos, create a relationship, of which Vietnamese children are always very enthusiastic and curious.

Is it possible to benefit of tax breakes for the paid contribution?

Yes, individuals have two ways to benefit of tax breaks on donated amounts.
According to the decree of 28 November 2019 "Liberal in-kind disbursements to Third Sector bodies", and Article 83 D.Lgs. 117/2017, private individuals can choose whether to:

deduct 30% of the amount donated (up to a maximum of 30,000) from the gross tax, or
2. deduct the amount donated without an absolute limit but within 10% of the total declared income.

Companies can deduct donations from their total net income for no more than 10% of the total declared income (art.83, paragraph 2 of D.Lgs 117/2017).

What are the guidelines of the Child Sponsorship Programme?

GTV's New Child Sponsprship Programme Guidelines are now available online. They are the result of a review and reflection on the programme which took place between 2015 and 2016. The New Guidelines aim to make the Child Sponsorship Programme more effective. The starting point are the ideas, considerations and experience collected in recent years. They are a guide to outline the new route that GTV has decided to give to Distance Adoption.
