As part of the ISABEL project, the visits to the families of the children supported by the project started in April. Particularly, they will involve a total of 61 families: 17 in Quảng Nguyên; 18 in Bản Díu; 11 in Trung Thịnh; 15 in Nà Chì.

Indeed, after the beginning of the internships in the schools of the four villages involved and after the materials' distribution to the schools, the activities are now focused on the support to the growth and education of these children in the family living context. This way, it will be guaranteed that the project will effectively meet the specific needs of the children, through an individualized approach. 

These visits, that follow the conclusion of the trainings for the families, comprehend both a site visit of the houses and a needs assessment of the families through a survey.  For what concerns the site visits, their objective is monitoring the living conditions of the children, while offering individual counseling to the families case by case. Meanwhile, regarding the second part, the survey will gather all the needs and difficulties of the families, along with the desires and ambitions for the children's future. 

The interns and the teachers are those in charge of carrying out the visits. Indeed, as they know personally the children, they not only can better assess the real needs of the families and children, but also can give useful and informed advise in managing the difficulties in their children's education. Finally, basing its action on the surveys filled by the interns, GTV will plan future supportive interventions and will organize the following phase of the project: that of the distribution of materials for the wellbeing and cognitive development of the children to the houses of the families and children supported.
