In response to the Covid-19 emergency, GTV supports the district of Xin Man with a new project, funded by the Autonomous Province of Trento and other private donations.

The goals of the project are:
- preventing the spread of infections, supporting the spread of correct hygiene practices in local schools and raising awareness among students.
- supporting the District Health Center in the care of patients present in the isolation and treatment centers of the district, providing the necessary equipment.

"Prevention" and "Response" which will be achieved with separate activities, already started in the past weeks.

Hygiene in schools

To ensure sufficient prevention from Covid-19, construction work began in February for the construction of 19 double toilets, equipped with hand washing stations, in 12 different local schools. Depending on the number of pupils attending the schools, it is necessary to create 1, 2 or 3 toilets per school. These toilets will be equipped with a flush and two rooms divided by gender.

A further 51 double washbasins will also be installed, positioned outdoors and complete with illustrative and awareness panels to disseminate and remember correct hygiene practices among students.

Once the toilets and washbasins are completed, all students will participate in awareness-raising activities, held by young Vietnamese volunteers of the CSDS organization, to make people understand the importance of anti-Covid measures, especially the hygiene measures necessary to combat the spread. of the virus.


Medical devices at the Xin Man Health Center

To support the medical treatment of patients suffering from Covid-19 in the Xin Man district, GTV provided the local Health Center with medical equipment and materials deemed essential to deal with the ongoing emergency.
These materials will supply the two isolation centers and the Covid-19 patient care center.
The two isolation centers (at a military building and at the health center of the municipality of Na Chi) can accommodate 450 people who have had close contact with patients who tested positive for Covid-19, while the treatment center located inside the Xin Man Central Hospital can accommodate up to 40 patients.

Among the equipment distributed on February 25, 2022 are a portable ultrasound system, pulse oximeters, oxygen tanks, respiratory masks and other personal protective equipment.
