Join the Sustainable travel to Vietnam organized by ViaggiGiovani in collaboration with Gruppo Trentino di Volontariato, for an authentic experience and respectful of the local culture! Sustainable travels by GTV are based on the principles of sustainable and responsible tourism as a path toward development. This kind of tourism respects the environment, culture and the communities avoiding invasive touristic infrastructure that do not benefit local people. Part of the trip will be dedicated to exploring Xin Man district, where GTV has been involved for years in different projects of sustainable development. Travelers will have the chance to discover our projects getting in touch with local communities, while being hosted in local families' homestays. For this reason, travelers should embrace a spirit of adaptability and openness to different cultures.
Where are we going this year?
A glimpse of the itinerary: the journey starts in Hanoi, the capital of the country, where travelers will have the opportunity to visit the main attractions. Then, they will head to Xin Man district on a private bus. There, the travelers will discover the villages where GTV operates, visiting different sustainable development projects while discovering the traditions of the ethnic minorities and enjoying the spectacular rice fields. The adventure continues in the province of Ninh Binh, where the ancient capital of the country was in the past. After that, travelers will embark on a cruise in Bai Tu Long bay, aboard a beautiful cruiseship in order to immerse themselves in the beauty of the sea and nature. From here, a flight will take them to Can Tho, in in the far south of the country, finding themselves in the Mekong Delta. The travel ends with a visit in the modern city of Ho Chi Minh from where the return flight will leave.
Throughout the travel, different local guides who speak Italian will accompany the group. However, on the cruiseship in Bai Tu Long bay the guide will be English-speaking.
The authentic experience we want to offer allows to get in touch and experience new cultures and traditions in order to foster a better understanding of local ways of life. Therefore, participants should be ready to step out of their comfort zone, adapt to different lifestyles, and embrace the challenges of a less conventional travel experience.
