Hello everyone, let's introduce ourselves!

We are Giulia and Angelica, two graduate students in International Studies, Development Cooperation curriculum, at the University of Trento. We are 22 years old and on 1 September we started our Civil Service journey with GTV and ACAV, realities in which, until the end of June 2023, we will do our best to make our contribution.

In particular, in GTV we will support communication activities (social media, website and newsletter), global citizenship education and we will also participate in the organization of events here in the Trentino area.

Why did we choose the Civil Service?

The reasons are multiple and similar for both, also considering the common field of study. First of all, coming from a background related to international cooperation, we liked the idea of ​​being able to enter a reality that works in the area of ​​our interest, starting to apply what we have studied and learned over the past three years.

We believe that this opportunity can be fundamental in our personal growth journey, and that it can help us, given our young age, to get to know each other better and find our way.

In particular, we have chosen to participate in this Civil Service project because it allows us to be active citizens, useful to the community in a concrete and significant way, in an environment where we can further mature and progress by acquiring new skills.

What do we expect from the next months in GTV?

In these months that we will spend in GTV we are committed to learning as many things as possible about this reality, the world of international cooperation and the functioning of an NGO. We sincerely hope to be able to clarify our future and the area in which we see ourselves working. Another purpose of ours is to create a network, getting to know as many people as possible, both young people like us (in the Civil Service or not), and those who have been working in this area for some time.

In all of this, we hope that this experience, as well as being fruitful for us and for you, will also be full of pleasant moments within this reality.
